Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex civil engineering projects encompassing groundworks, civils, demolition, and earthworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project delivery from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership to manage multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and supply chains, while maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships. The Senior Project Manager will also ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations, and will be accountable for risk management, programme control, and commercial performance. A thorough understanding of contract management, design coordination, and construction methodologies within heavy civil engineering environments is essential.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in Groundworks, Civils, Demolition, and Earthworks project management



• Strong knowledge of contract conditions, including NEC contracts and CDM regulations



• Proven ability in programme and risk management, including forecasting and cost control



• Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor



• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills



• Ability to challenge designs and resolve technical problems effectively



• Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors



• Commercial acumen with experience in contract administration and variation management
