This long-term role involves supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) within a busy, play-based Reception classroom. You''ll work alongside the class teacher and an experienced TA to provide calm, structured and engaging support throughout the school day.The RoleYou will be supporting a small group of Reception-aged children who all have a range of SEN, providing targeted help during continuous provision, carpet sessions and play-based learning activities. Alongside your classroom responsibilities, part of your role includes supporting children within The Cabin, the school''s SEN provision.The Cabin offers a quiet, structured environment with sensory equipment, an interactive screen, and activities such as Bucket Time, sensory play and communication-focused interventions. You''ll work closely with staff and parents to develop communication, emotional regulation, independence and early learning skills.
