Auto Electrician - Fitting Specialist

We''re excited to be working with one of the UK''s largest vehicle conversion companies, currently seeking a skilled Auto Electrician with proven experience in wiring and complex installations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team working on a wide range of emergency service vehicles, including police, undercover/counter-terrorism, ambulance, blood, fire and volunteer response vehicles.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the UK''s most technologically advanced response units, needing someone with a key eye for detail, discretion and enthusiasm!

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain electrical systems and components in emergency service vehicles.
• Fit and integrate blue light systems, sirens, communication equipment, armaments and control units to exacting standards.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and vehicle schematics.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and effectively.
  

Essential Skills & Experience:

• IMI Level 3 Diploma in Auto Electrics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent/relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including CAN Bus, multiplexing, and control systems.
• Knowledge of procedures for mechanical/electrical maintenance and repair to BTEC/HNC, or City and Guilds, plus relevant training or equivalent.
• Driving Licence with C1/D1 categories, courses, significant experience of driving vehicles larger than a family saloon car.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.
