is one of the leading Independent schools in the UK with excellent facilities, catering for 1500 pupils and 300 staff/teachers daily in our Senior School and 700 pupils and staff in our Prep School.We currently have an exciting opportunity for 2 General Assistants to join the prestigious team at
Brentwood School . We are looking for two engaging, fun, flexible, and approachable team members to help manage the various locations.
Job Description
Provide friendly and efficient service to students, staff, and visitors in the schoolPrepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, light snacks, and pre-prepared foodsMaintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the café, including counters, seating, and equipmentRestock supplies and ensure displays are well-presented and invitingAssist with general kitchen duties, including basic food prep and cleaningEnsure compliance with food safety and health regulations at all timesProvide excellent customer service, fostering a welcoming atmosphere in the caféSupport occasional school events or functions as requiredAssist with setting up and serving meals to pupils and staffHelping with deliveries and storingSupport hospitality events as required
Qualifications
Previous experience in a catering or cleaning environment (desirable but not essential)Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practicesLevel 1 Food Hygiene Certificate (can be provided during training)Good communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work efficiently and follow instructionsReliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and attitudePositive, can-do approach to workPhysically able to be on your feet for extended periods and carry out manual tasksWillingness to learn and adapt to a busy school environment
