Electrician, HMP Swansea, Full-time, long-term temporary Your new company HMP Swansea holds Category C Adult male prisoners and young adults.Your new role As part of the Works Department, you will be responsible for both reactive repairs and planned and preventative maintenance. You must be local to the prison or have your own transport. The job involves:Reactive repairs and rewires along with small, planned projects and maintenance.Deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and fault-findingBe involved in survey inspections for quality control including confined spaces etc All work needs to be recorded and logged.Equipment and services on site where necessaryRequired to carry out various inspections within the works department, including repairs to various assets, building fabric throughout the prison estate, e.g. furniture, internal/external fixtures and fittings, grounds, access and car parking, etc.Team working with various skill levelsSecurity awareness within the prison environmentPromoting a positive health and safety culture across the site, leading by example, including reporting any incidents or near-miss
