Key Responsibilities:Support children with their learning, tailoring your approach to meet their communication needs.Help pupils build confidence in their speech, language and social interactions.Use specialist communication tools, such as Makaton and PECS.Help develop independence, preparing students for life beyond school.Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to create a positive learning environment.Monitor student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating achievements.This role is a brilliant stepping stone if you are pursuing a career in Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology or SEN Support.
