Thorpewood Medical Group is a SystemOne Surgery based East of Norwichcentral with a Patient list of 12,500. We have a vacancy for a 4 session GP with view to a Partnership, if desired, to join our established AlliedProfessional and Clinical Team.As a practice we strive to provide high quality care and pride ourselveson excellent team-working. Your day will consist of routine and on the day appointments. You may be allocated home visits and you will undertake on call GP duties. To work as an committed practitioner,responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population,delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMScontract.Furthermore, the post holderwill adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to theeffective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.Patient consultations on the phone and face to faceClinical examinationsHealth educationDiagnosis and treatment of illnesses and ailmentsLiaising with other healthcare professionals internally and externallyAdministration and test resultingOn Call Duty Doctor daysAbout us

The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP.There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitledpopulationb. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contractc. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidanced. Effective management of long-term conditionse. Processing of administration in a timely manner, includingreferrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrativetasksf. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and dutydoctor rolesg. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with goodpractice, policy and guidanceh. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of thepractice workloadi. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit processj. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practicek. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (orareas) or the QOFl. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings asrequiredm. Contribute effective to the development and maintenance ofthe practice including clinical governance and trainingn. Ensure compliance with the appraisal processo. Prepare and complete the revalidation processp. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuingprofessional development across the practice teamq. Support the training of medical students from all clinicaldisciplinesr. Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of thepractice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditures. Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policiest. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staffregularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvementIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP maybe requested to:a. Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit leadb. Participate in local initiatives to enhance service deliveryand patient carec. Fully qualified GP with GMC registrationAnnual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trainedOn medical performers listEnhanced DBS checkUK driving licenseCurrent CPR certificateUK work permit (if required)Evidence of continued professional developmentLTC training (Diabetic, Asthma, COPD, CHD and CKD)Experience
