The CompanyThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a medium-sized multi-disciplinary consultancy whose office is based in central London but will be on a long-term project that is based near Crawley. They cover a wide range of projects including commercial, residential, aviation, retail, and education, with the successful Quantity Surveyor working on aviation projects ranging from £40m - £80m.

Role responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include payments, progress meetings (design and works), change control monitoring and cost reporting.

Design responsibilities include attending design team meetings, tracking progress of design, spotting potential variations, and cost-upping the design.

Works responsibilities include site reviews and site meetings and weekly progress meetings, focusing on progress and actions to ensure the job stays on track.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will run projects from concept to completion and support, mentor and help develop junior staff on site.

Qualifications

BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or an RICS-accredited degree

Experience working on NEC4 contracts

Experience on infrastructure projects

Strong cost planning and cost reporting experience

Risk management experience

MRICS or currently working towards

Experience within a private practice / consultancy

Strong pre- and post-contract knowledge
