Capital Project Manager Band 7

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS and TRAINING Degree and post-graduate qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (E) Project Management qualification(E) Experience of writing specifications and tender documentation (E) Experience of managing multiskilled staff and specialist consultants (E) Corporate membership of a construction-related institute or body e.g. RIBA, RICS, CIOB (D) JOB PURPOSE To support the Strategic Estates Programme Manager in the delivery of major capital schemes from inception to completion, including design, project management, contract administration and site supervision. To be responsible for supervising the construction stage of projects. To include formal responsibilities under the NEC3 Works Supervisor role To lead on smaller capital projects within the strategic team to enable major projects to commence. To comply with and ensure contracts comply with site rules and policies. Ensure project elements are communicated with the correct teams at the correct times. Take and monitor minutes and actions in both formal and informal meetings internally and with external parties.
