We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook/Catering Assistant to join our team supporting vulnerable adults. This role involves preparing nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone we support.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, cook, and serve balanced meals and snacks in line with dietary requirementsMaintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standardsAssist with stock control, ordering, and food storageProvide friendly, respectful service to vulnerable adults, staff, and visitorsBe willing to learn and operate the barista coffee machineWork independently when required, as lone working may be involvedFollow all food safety, health, and safeguarding proceduresRequirements:Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage but not essentialKind, patient, and understanding approach when working with vulnerable adultsGood communication and teamwork skillsA positive attitude and willingness to learnEnhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check desirable if you do not have one we can send you a link top applyFood Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) desirableBenefits:Supportive and inclusive working environmentFull training provided, including barista and food hygiene training
