We are looking for a Vehicle Preparation Centre Manager to take full control of our prep operation, covering mechanical, bodyshop, alloys wheels, valeting, photography, and parts. You will be accountable for productivity, utilisation, and achieving critical KPIs including days to market under 4 days and at least 90% of stock fully prepped, photographed, and advertised.This role requires complete dedication. It is not suited to someone who simply wants routine. We need a highly organised, action-oriented manager who thrives under pressure, drives momentum, and delivers results consistently.Key Responsibilities
Lead daily prep operations across all departments: mechanical, bodyshop, alloys, valeting, photography and partsMaximise staff productivity and utilisation across the preparation departmentMonitor KPIs including days to market, efficiency, and throughput, taking immediate action when requiredEnsure at least 90% of stock is prepared, photographed, and advertised at all timesOversee workflow, scheduling, stock security, and parts usageMaintain compliance with health and safety and quality standardsLiaise closely with sales, buying, and aftersales leadership to align prep with business needsRecruit, train, and lead staff, setting clear standards and accountabilityAbout You
Proven track record managing high-volume prep or workshop operationsYou will be expected to motivate teams and create a culture of urgency, accountability, and action.Strong knowledge across all prep areas: mechanical, bodyshop, alloys, valeting, photography, and partsTech-savvy and data-driven, confident with KPIs and dashboardsExceptionally organised and proactive, with a clear bias for actionStrategic thinker who can also make quick, practical decisions under pressureStrong leader who motivates teams and enforces high standardsPackage
