Principal Engagement Consultant

WSP is recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing Engagement team. We drive best practice in engagement, community relations, consultation and stakeholder management in the delivery of infrastructure projects across the UK, including water, health, energy and environmental sectors.YOUR ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED?Manage public consultation and engagement activity within the Land, Infrastructure Planning and Engagement business unit, acting as a trusted client advisor.Collaborate with colleagues across WSP to deliver engaging communications.Draft and deliver effective stakeholder engagement strategies to help our clients deliver infrastructure projects around the UK.Write clear, accessible communications to help communities understand projects and potential impacts; manage design and print processes.Provide opportunities for questions and feedback by publishing communications, organizing events and running surveys.Present feedback to help projects develop responsibly by interpreting data, identifying themes and key issues, and managing reporting.Support clients across the UK and internationally with communication and engagement activities, including virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, public-facing maps and community engagement events.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective communication and engagement activity.Manage projects to ensure timelines, budgets and resources deliver value for clients.YOUR TEAMYou will join a UK-wide team of 60+ communication and engagement specialists, reporting to the Engagement Regional Team Lead. You will help manage existing projects, client relationships, and develop new partnerships. The office location offers a collaborative environment with good access to public transport.
