We''re on the lookout for a Yard Shunter to join our night team at a busy distribution centre. If you''re confident behind the wheel and know your way around a yard, we d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Vehicle and Trailer Movement: Manoeuvring large vehicles (like HGVs) and trailers safely and efficiently around company premises, yards, and warehouse areas. Safety and Inspections: Performing safety assessments and inspections on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are road-safe and compliant with regulations. Coupling and Uncoupling: Connecting and disconnecting trailer units from tractor units. Site Support: Working within transport, production, or distribution departments to support operations, including the smooth transition during loading and unloading. Health and Safety: Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines, reporting hazards, and preventing workplace collisions.
