Position: Press Brake Operator Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire Salary: £14 - £16 per hour (DOE) Press Brake Operator required to join a specialist manufacturer of high-quality factory machinery, including weighers, tippers, conveyors, and processing equipment. Press Brake Operator Job Overview Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machinesInterpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bend schedulesSelect appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each jobPerform precision bending and forming of sheet metal and plate materialsConduct in-process inspections using measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, angle gauges, etc.)Ensure all components meet quality standards and tolerancesCollaborate with mechanical engineers and fabrication team members to ensure design intent is achievedMaintain equipment and report maintenance requirements promptlyAdhere to all health and safety regulations and company proceduresAssist with general fabrication tasks when required Press Brake Operator Job Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machinery (CNC preferred)Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawingsStrong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniquesKnowledge of tooling setup and bend allowance calculationsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood understanding of workshop health and safety practices Press Brake Operator Salary and Benefits Permanent positionSalary - £14 to £16 (DOE)Monday
