Principal Hardware Engineer Luton - 90% on site 75ph inside IR35 A leading technology programme is seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Engineer to design and develop hardware and firmware subsystems for advanced electronic systems. This role will be instrumental in shaping high-performance solutions for signal processing, communications, and control applications.Working closely with a team of experts in a collaborative engineering environment, you''ll contribute to the full lifecycle of hardware design - from specification through to integration, verification, and production support. Key Responsibilities Define specifications for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and ADC/DAC systems.Design and develop DSP and mixed-signal systems, including SoC, FPGA, and power conversion.Integrate ADC/DAC components within broader digital processing architectures.Support verification, debugging, and testing of complex PCBs and VPX-based hardware.Engage in model-driven design using MATLAB/Simulink and Mentor design tools.
