Senior Legal Cashier Bedford, Hybrid workingFull-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm£27,000 - £35,000 per annumWe are seeking a Legal Cashier to join our team, responsible for managing all day-to-day legal cashiering duties while ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. This role is ideal for someone with experience in handling complex financial transactions with precision and who can provide essential operational support when needed.Day-to-day of the role:Daily Cashiering Duties:Handle postings of receipts, payments, transfers, and disbursements to client and office ledgers.Manage daily banking processes including reconciliations, cheque handling, and allocation of funds.Ensure the correct segregation of client money and office money in line with SRA Accounts Rules.Process refunds, write-offs, and adjustments in accordance with internal controls.Monitor ledger balances and resolve queries from fee earners promptly.Financial Compliance:Ensure all financial transactions comply with the latest SRA Accounts Rules.Support internal audit processes and prepare documents for external accountant''s reports.Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records with strong audit trails.Cover for T/Ts and Payroll:Provide cover for processing telegraphic transfers including high-value or time-sensitive client completions.Verify compliance checks and ensure correct approval and security protocols.Provide absence cover for Payroll including collat
