Elite Staffing Solutions are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our client''s busy team. You will support the team in delivering accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts preparation Maintain client records and ledgers using accounting software (using Xero) Bank reconciliations and processing bank payments Assist in preparing VAT returns and submissions to HMRC Support with the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Liaise with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries Assist with payroll processing and CIS returns (if applicable) Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with practice and regulatory standards Support the senior team with ad hoc tasks and administrative duties as required Key Requirements: Previous experience in an accountancy practice (preferred but not essential) Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping Familiarity with Xero Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Good communication and organisational skills Ability to manage time effecti
