Senior Mechanical Engineer Introduction We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Portsmouth. Responsibilities Designing, developing, and improving a highly automated manufacturing equipment. Taking designs from concept all the way through to implementation. Producing engineering calculations. Managing projects and problem solving Creating Technical Construction Files, Technical Specifications and Reports. Process and Production Machines Development. Workshop experience in building and installation of machinery. New equipment maintenance 2D CAD (AutoCad or Draftsight) and 3D (Solidworks) CAD and Solidworks PDM (not essential but would be beneficial). Ideal Experience The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Engineering or relatable experience. Have both a technical and practical approach, workshop experience, and creating technical specifications skills. Preparing reports or presentations and performing engineering calculations. Knowledge of 2D and 3D software is also an advantage.
