Class 2 Shunter Location: West Thurrock Depot, RM20 3LB Pay: 18 per hour Up to 720 per week Weekly pay Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 14:00 - 20:00 Contract: Temp - Perm About the Role We are looking for a professional Class 2 Shunter to work on behalf of our client in West Thurrock on a temp to perm basis. As a Class 2 Shunter, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the depot, ensuring trailers and vehicles are positioned correctly to support smooth distribution operations. You will work closely with the Transport and Warehouse teams to maintain workflow and meet site objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesSafely manoeuvre Class 2 vehicles within the yard and depot area.Ensure vehicles and trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.Support yard operations, including loading and unloading activities where required.Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment.Liaise with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure efficient operations.Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures.Support general depot duties as required.QualificationsCurrent and valid Category C Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)Current and valid Driver CPCCurrent and valid Digital Tachograph CardPrevious shunting or yard experience is preferredForklift licence (B1 Counterbalance) is desirableBasic numeracy and literacy skillsSkills and Attr
