An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join the Whipps Cross Therapies team within Barts Health Trust. The post holder will be a qualified physiotherapist with experience in MSK, registered with the HCPC, and ideally having completed an orthopaedic inpatient rotation. They should possess excellent knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy principles and have experience treating peripheral and spinal patients. Assessments and treatments will be conducted via face-to-face and virtual appointments. Evidence of involvement in project management and audit is desirable.
The post will involve working within the Barts Health Band 6 musculoskeletal rotations at Whipps Cross Hospital and its community sites. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with various specialties, including Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, and Community Pain clinics. The post holder will supervise a Band 5 physiotherapist and students, providing appraisals, teaching, and clinical support, while managing demanding caseloads. They will also participate in roles linked to Band 7-line managers, such as GP liaison, education, and Musculoskeletal Audit champion. The department offers excellent evidence-based in-service training covering joint-specific theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical implementation. Additionally, external courses are available with free places allocated. The MSK Therapies team benefits from strong strategic and clinical leadership, including APPs and FCPs, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
