Youth Worker / Youth Support Practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills and previous experience working directly with young people in one-to-one or group settings is required for a well-established charity that works with young people aged 35 and under.Salary : £26,936 pro rata (Actual salary for 30 hours per week £21,840 per annum)Benefits : 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata), laptop and phone provided, plus a great work life balanceLocation : Rushmoor District of HampshireJob Type : 18 Month Fixed Term, Part-Time ContractWorking Hours : 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (flexible timings to suit young people’s needs; occasional weekend work)Key Requirement : Candidates must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a car for work use.Job Overview

Your duties as a Youth Worker / Youth Support Practitioner will include:Youth Support and Empowerment:
Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based one-to-one and group support to empower young peopleRelationship Management:
Build trusted, professional relationships with young people facing a range of complex challengesCollaborative Partnership:
Work in close partnership with local services, local authorities, agencies, and professionals to provide holistic supportConfidential Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and confidential case records, risk assessments, and action plansProfessional Development:
Participate in team meetings, reflective practice, and supervision to support continuous professional growthAccess and Progression:
Enable young people to access a range of positive activities, mentoring, and progression opportunitiesMonitoring and Development:
Contribute to the monitoring, evaluation, and ongoing development of projectsProfessional Representation:
Represent the organisation professionally in multi-agency settingsCandidate Requirements
Essential :Previous experience working directly with young people in one-to-one and group settingsProven experience of safeguarding, case management, and partnership workingExcellent organisational and record-keeping skillsTechnologically confident, able to use digital platforms for communication and record keepingA reflective and trauma-informed practitionerAbility to work independently and manage your own caseloadConfident in preparing and delivering presentations or group sessionsA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essentialDesirable :Relevant youth work, social work, or counselling qualificationsExperience participating in safeguarding or child protection meetingsExperience in community-based youth work or outreachHow to Apply
