Senior Civil Engineer – Development Infrastructure

Birmingham | £40,000 – £55,000 + Benefits

We’re working with a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy as they expand their Birmingham office, and they’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to play a key role in the continued growth of their infrastructure team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on a range of residential and mixed-use development schemes, manage your own projects, and help shape a high-performing regional team

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Designing infrastructure solutions across highways, drainage, and external works
- Managing project delivery from concept to completion
- Overseeing Section 278, 38, 104, and 185 technical submissions
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their development
- Remaining hands-on with design, modelling, and technical detail

 

What We’re Looking For:

- 7–10 years’ UK consultancy experience (ideally with a residential focus)
- Solid technical understanding of drainage and highway design
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commercial mindset and the confidence to manage client relationships
