People Strategy Analyst

We’re looking for a People Strategy AnalystThe mission of iwoca’s People team is to attract, retain and develop a team of top performers, who really, really love being part of iwoca. As the team’s Strategy Analyst, you’ll be responsible for leveraging our people data and using your analytics and problem solving skills to help us succeed in our mission.
About usImagine a world where every small business has the power to thrive. That’s the world we''re building at iwoca. Small businesses aren’t just statistics – they''re the heartbeat of our communities, the character of our high streets, and the engine of our economy. Since 2012, we''ve revolutionised how these businesses access finance, turning what was once a lengthy, frustrating process into something remarkable: funding that''s fast, flexible, and actually works for modern businesses.
Our impact speaks for itself: we''ve provided billions in funding to more than 150,000 businesses across Europe, making us one of the continent''s leading fintech innovators. But we''re just getting started. Our mission? To empower one million businesses with the financial tools they deserve.
We combine cutting-edge technology and data science with genuine human understanding to make finance feel less like a barrier and more like a superpower. Whether it''s managing cash flow or seizing unexpected opportunities, we ensure businesses get the funds they need – often within minutes.
Your missionAt iwoca, we live and breathe data; and the People team is no exception. So in this role, you’ll dive into investigations in order to generate valuable insights in areas such as:
Pay: how frequently do pay rises happen at iwoca, and how big have those pay rises been? How does this vary by team, gender, tenure, etc.
Equity: when in the future are we running out of employee options that we can grant to iwocans and need to ask shareholders for a topup of the scheme?
Performance reviews: what’s the distribution of performance and culture ratings across iwoca? Is there a clear relationship currently between scores and pay changes?
Performance improvement plans (PIPs): how frequently are PIPs being used, and what’s the success rate been? How should “success” be defined, does passing a PIP still increase the likelihood of attrition?
Talent recruitment: how can we design a split test to accurately measure the value / ROI of different recruitment platforms? How should the results impact our recruitment strategy? Can we build a model to predict time-to-hire for specific roles?
Office strategy: when will we need a new London office and how much space should we look for? Taking into account hybrid working trends, headcount growth, etc.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering this learning agenda. You’ll work with stakeholders to shape it, and also be expected to come up with your own ideas of what’s useful to investigate.
You’ll report to our People Director and you’ll also build a wide network of stakeholders in order to carry out your investigations and share your findings. Those stakeholders will include the Founders, CFO, COO, Head of Ops Strategy, Head of Talent, Head of People, Finance team and many more!
You’ll be part of the People team, however you’ll also be part of a Strategy peer group which exists across several different functions, such as Marketing, Product, Operations, etc. While we hope you’ll enjoy the work you’ll be doing in the People team, your data and analytics skills will mean you have the opportunity to rotate into another department if you so wish.

A team player with a balance of confidence, humility, and enthusiasm.
