The Role
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team and lead the estimation process for a variety of general contracting projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for providing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates, supporting the pre-construction team, and contributing to successful project wins.

As Senior Estimator - General Contracting, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and educational projects
• Analysing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to produce competitive bids
• Managing subcontractor enquiries, quotations, and supplier pricing
• Collaborating with the design and commercial teams to assess risk and value engineering opportunities
• Presenting and explaining estimates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Continuously reviewing and improving estimation processes and tools

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Senior Estimator will have:

• Significant experience in general contracting, preferably within commercial, industrial, or education sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
• Proven experience preparing detailed tenders and estimates
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Relevant professional qualifications (MRICS or equivalent) desirable but not essential
