Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation based in central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is progressing through their studies and looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the finance team to support the monthly management accounts process, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to a range of accounting projects. You will take ownership of a specific business portfolio, preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports, and providing meaningful insight to support commercial decision-making.
Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including analysis of spend, budget variances, and performance trends.
- Taking the lead on revenue reporting and analysis, supporting senior finance stakeholders with queries as needed.
- Managing monthly accruals, prepayments, and invoicing processes.
- Partnering with non-finance teams to improve financial understanding and ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial entries within the general ledger.
- Supporting the external audit process and contributing to year-end reporting.
What you will need to succeed as the Management Accountant:
- AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
- 2–3 years’ experience in a management accounts or similar finance role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience with revenue analysis or multi-site reporting would be advantageous.
