Hays are looking for an electrician for a domestic maintenance contract in Edinburgh. Your new company You will be joining an existing trades team working across various domestic properties in the Edinburgh and Midlothian area. There are many years'' worth of work signed off, so this position is very close to a permanent role while having the flexibility of still being a contractor. Your new role The role will involve:Domestic rewiring, upgrading outlets, and fixtures in homes quickly and to the required safety standardsKitchen and bathroom upgrades, fire alarm installation and reactive maintenance on domestic properties in the Edinburgh and Midlothian area. Replacing old wiring and upgrading electrical systems in houses.EICR checks may be required in existing buildings, and you could be working as part of the reactive team. Adhere to all safety standards and building regulations at all times.Work closely with other trades during renovation or building projectsWhat you''ll need to succeed You will need to be a qualified electrician with a valid ECS gold card graded to Electrician or above. Ideally, you will have experience working in domestic properties and be comfortable speaking to customers.
