You will be working in one fixed location near Newmarket and focused on the day to day occupied repairs and maintenance of a secure unit and its affiliated facilities.You will work in a team of two, carrying out repairs and maintenance in a secure facility in close to Newmarket, including repairs to patient damage caused to walls, doors, locks, sanitary ware, flooring, furniture, ceilings, electrics and other related areas.Deliver reactive repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of secure units, with primary focus on accommodation units.You will be split on a job by job basis over a planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks undertaken on each job.Work closely with facilities estate management to meet contract SLA delivery in a timely manner.Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.Adopt a tidy work ethic, keep adjoining work areas clean and damage free, and work in a timely and productive manner.Provide good customer service and support staff with reactive repairs and maintenance across sites.Advise your supervisor on issues or challenges that require additional support.Be happy working in a team of two all day and with other trades as required to complete repairs.Follow health and safety guidelines and adhere to company policies.What you need to bring to the role

Strong Handyperson background with the ability to carry out multi-trade works.Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works.Ability to manage and carry out repairs in a secure environment.Previous experience of repairs and maintenance.Pass security and criminal record checks; prepared to work in a secure facility housing patients and inmates.Show strong customer service skills due to repairs taking place in occupied areas.Tidy work ethic with responsibility for adjacent areas and materials.Problem solving, decision making, attention to detail, accountability, initiative, flexibility and adaptability.Security and Working Environment

The facility is a secure unit; personal items (mobile phones) will not be allowed past security checks daily.There will be a key holder in each team; you will be responsible for the safe movement, use, storage and removal of a work tool chest and required materials to complete set works.The environment may be challenging due to its secure nature and security checks.You must be happy working in and around a secure facility which houses patients and inmates.Hours, Pay and Benefits
