Job Title: Food Service AssistantJob Summary:Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to a high standard, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. Support the smooth operation of the school dining services, adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.Working Hours:12.5 hours per weekMonday to Thursday: 2.75 hours each dayFriday: 1.5 hoursImmediate start preferred.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook simple food for pupilsServe pupils in the dining hallMaintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas, equipment, and utensilsEnsure tables and counters are clean and stocked during servicePlace weekly food ordersFollow hygiene and safety standards, including attending relevant trainingReport accidents, irregularities, or unsafe conditions promptlyParticipate in performance reviews and trainingUphold safeguarding and child protection policies Requirements: Experience in food preparation and servingKnowledge of hygiene and safety proceduresStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygieneCommitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare Additional: Support school policies on equality, health and safety, and safeguardingDemonstrate organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and families This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive school environment while developing skills in food service and child safeguarding.All applican
