Main Purpose(s):Take the lead on BUCS Super Rugby social media channels (Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube) throughout the season, including content creation. Assist in increasing reach and engagement across the wider BUCS sport and event calendar. The Digital Content Producer will live and breathe sport, planning and creating content to keep our social channels thriving.

Main duties and responsibilities

Manage the BUCS Super Rugby social media channels.

Assist in the production of BSR live broadcasts.

Plan and produce content for BSR and BUCS.

Work with the Digital and Engagement Manager and wider team to manage the content calendar daily.

Coordinate and brief content creation for social media, both internally and with external partners.

Deliver reactive content at live sporting events, managing content in-platform and coordinating with the engagement team.

Coordinate and execute social campaigns, including paid campaigns, aligned with the marketing calendar.

Monitor social media trends and platforms, making recommendations for adoption.

Produce social content consistent with the brand and tone of voice.

Support monthly reporting of social media metrics.

Assist in delivering content that supports BUCS'' commercial objectives.

Person SpecificationBUCS aims to create the best university sport experience globally. We seek proactive individuals with a can-do attitude willing to challenge ideas and develop skills in a fast-paced environment. If you''re ready to get involved and bring sport to life visually across various audiences, we want to hear from you.

Ideal candidates will have strong content creation skills, especially in bringing sport to life visually through highlights, TikTok content, or livestream ideas. Creativity is essential.

Essential skills and experience

Experience creating and editing social-first videos.

Understanding content adaptation for different social platforms.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Proficiency in video editing (Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro X).

Experience creating video and photography content at live events.

Ability to generate creative ideas for student-facing social content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts).

Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.

Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Passion for sport and rugby knowledge.

Desirable skills and experience

Photography skills.

Knowledge of higher education sports.

Experience across multiple sports.

Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.

Practical knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
