Purchasing Manager

A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join a manufacturing business based in Harlow, Essex with a salary up to -50,000.
Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment, at a managerial level and be keen to progress in their career.
Role responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager include:
- Lead and develop the team to ensure efficient sourcing and purchasing operations
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements
- Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align procurement activities with organisational goals
- Monitor and report on procurement metrics, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
Person Specification of the Purchasing Manager:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Leadership skills with the ability to oversee a small team
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with using ERP/MRP software - ideally SAP
- Strong Microsoft suite experience
Salary
Up to -50k
This position requires fully onsite presence
