Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Welton, Carlisle

Salary: -43,900

Shifts: Monday - Friday (Rotating)

• 06:00 - 14:00
• 08:00 - 16:00
• 14:00 - 22:00

Stafforce are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Carlisle. Working as part of a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Fault finding and repair of production equipment
• Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
• Basic welding and fabrication work
• Assisting with installation and modification of machinery
• Completing maintenance documentation and reports

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent apprenticeship)
• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Welding/fabrication experience beneficial
