Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this role will support the business unit by managing the contractual and financial elements of projects undertaken within the Networks business. This includes electrical and civil frameworks and standalone projects.In addition, the role will include all other activities to enable successful PandL, cash flow and working capital management.Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:NEC3/4 and bespoke contract management of multiple contractsMeasurement and valuations of works for applications, variations and final accounts with both clients and suppliersIdentification and notification of Early Warnings and Compensation EventsEnsure all contracts, up and down supply chain, are fit for purposeProvide Cash Flow ForecastsCVR creation and managementEstablishment and chair of monthly project reviewsManaging the dispute and defects process with the Client and SubcontractorsAttend Client progress meetingsFollow procedures for Client work approvalManage invoicing and debtsEffective communication with all levels of personnelSupply chain managementProvide innovative ideas and continuous improvementWhat we’re looking for :Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role - EssentialA well-developed understanding of various forms of contract, in particular NEC3/4, with the ability to apply these skills in a practical fashion to live projects - EssentialA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or other related discipline (can be substituted by a relevant HNC and suitable experience); - EssentialGood MS Excel skills including the use of look ups and pivot tables. - EssentialExperience with Civil Engineering and Construction projects - DesirableBenefits:We''re always evolving our benefits to ensure we''re attracting and retaining great people.
