Description Provide high-level, expert professional/technical advice and guidance in Building Control to colleagues, managers, and partner agencies to contribute to achieving the objectives and priorities. Responsible for advising the public on building control matters and processing applications under statutory Building Regulations. Responsibility Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations. Advise the public on the requirements of Building Regulations and other related legislation. Process applications under Building Regulations, liaise with and offer guidance to applicants and draft determinations. Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Qualification Essential GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. Degree in construction or equivalent qualification, preferably with a Band C Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) qualification. Full corporate membership status with a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB. Minimum of seven years'' experience in Building Control.
