Your new role
An established main contractor is seeking a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects. The role requires a commercially astute professional with strong experience working to the National Schedule of Rates (NSR) and proven capability managing projects through delivery and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Full commercial management of assigned works packages
• Preparation, assessment, and agreement of valuations
• Administering and managing change in accordance with the National Schedule of Rates
• Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Procurement and management of subcontractors
• Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
• Supporting the commercial strategy to maximise value and minimise risk
• Working closely with site and project teams to ensure robust cost control

What you''ll need to succeed

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on UK projects
• Strong demonstrable experience using the National Schedule of Rates (NSR)
• Background with main contractors preferred
• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
