Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective design solutionsWork within set UX guidelines and principles to ensure consistency and coherence across all touchpoints of user journeysWork with the Halfords UI kit and brand guidelinesUse established best practice UX in all design work, providing feedback where appropriate on practicalityEffectively manage workload, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and highlighting any changes to agreed scope and/or timelinesBe the advocate for key features and functions that address the business objectives whilst meeting customer needsAccurately report working time spent on projects each weekWork with the business to understand performance and impact of UX changes and iterate as appropriate to drive resultsFor each project, deliver robust user research, concept testing, and usability testing; conduct competitive audits and market research - and convert findings into design decisionsImmerse yourself in insights, competitor analysis, user research and qualitative and quantitative data to inform new ideas and optimisationEnsure all design works meets group accessibility guidelinesTake part and contribute to collaborative team processes, such as sprint dependency planning and weekly design critiquesQualifications

Bachelors Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related fieldProven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role with a portfolio showcasing previous UX/UI design projects and processesProficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similarStrong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologiesExperience working in an agile development environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritise and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to make design decisionsBe knowledgeable in accessible design and mindful of designing for different audiencesUp-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX/UI design standardsBenefits
