Supply Desk is currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Bushey. The role is available for a September start and is a full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to engage students in the rich and diverse subject of History.

Job Description:
andbull; Deliver engaging and informative History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
andbull; Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum objectives and departmental schemes of work.
andbull; Use varied teaching methods to meet the needs of all students and promote a love for historical enquiry.
andbull; Monitor and track student progress, setting high expectations for achievement.
andbull; Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school policies, fostering a respectful and focused classroom environment.
andbull; Support the schoolandrsquo;s ethos and values through active involvement in extracurricular activities, assemblies, and whole-school events.
andbull; Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to continuously improve teaching strategies and outcomes.
andbull; Attend staff meetings, parent consultations, and training sessions as required.

Our ideal candidate will:
andbull; Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
andbull; Have experience teaching History in a UK secondary school, with strong subject knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
andbull; Be passionate about making History accessible, engaging, and relevant to students of all abilities.
andbull; Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
andbull; Be highly organised, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
andbull; Display effective classroom and behaviour management techniques.
andbull; Be committed to safeguarding and the well-being of all students.
andbull; Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
