ACCA Careers . Resource Management (RM) is a business-critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. As a member of the RM team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. The role is people-focused and is founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders as well as holding, or being keen to develop, a good understanding of Management Information. Resourcing our engagements effectively is critical to business performance, whilst ensuring the experience of our people is maximised.
Responsibilities
Support the Resource Manager/Planner with the budget/planning process.
Take responsibility for managing bookings and updates to ensure that the scheduling system accurately reflects the current resourcing position and that it is up to date for minimum of 3 - 6 months in advance.
Tracking and monitoring of utilisation of certain cohorts for the department.
Manage holiday requests in conjunction with business unit policies, ensure holiday requests are appropriately approved and that dates are accurately reflected in the scheduling system.
Monitor sickness/absence levels highlighting issues as appropriate and ensuring that dates are accurately reflected accurately.
Work with the Resource Manager/Planners to support the scheduling, on-boarding and off-boarding process for practitioners.
Support the Resourcing Planners and Exam managers with the planning of curriculum dates, timetable planning, cancellations and re-bookings, exam re-sits.
Develop and promote an understanding of the curriculum pathway requirements for junior grades.
Work with the Resource Planners and Learning Managers to support with the planning of training dates, course cancellations, re-bookings and other issues as they arise. Develop and promote an understanding of grade learning requirements.
Essential Experience
Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator.
Ability to interact effectively with empathy, impact and discretion.
Ability to cultivate trusted advisor working relationships with practitioners, business unit team members and the wider resource management function.
Flexibility and ability to learn quickly in a fast moving environment.
Ability to plan and prioritise, multi task and manage a significant workload under pressure.
Team player who uses initiative and takes ownership of tasks.
Ability to interact at all levels with an ability to influence and negotiate.
Portrays a professional, customer orientated image of resource management/scheduling.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills.
Proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
Computer literate, in particular an excellent working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
You will be supporting our London Office and be expected to be in the office twice a week.

Although it is desirable that you have experience in Resource Management, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
