Bookkeeper

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Bookkeeper to join our client''s Edinburgh office with hybrid working. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across finance, administration, and office operations. You''ll play a key part in keeping the business running smoothly, with responsibilities spanning bookkeeping, payroll, HR admin, and supplier coordination.Your responsibilities will include: Managing daily financial transactions, including sales and purchase invoices Preparing monthly financial reports and reconciling bank and credit card statements Completing VAT and CIS returns Processing weekly and monthly payroll, issuing payslips, and recording pension contributions Supporting HR administration including onboarding, maintaining training records, and verifying CIS subcontractors Overseeing company vehicle administration (MOTs, servicing, etc.) Managing staff records (holidays, sick leave, etc.) Handling general office duties including calls, emails, banking, and filing Ensuring timely renewal of insurance policies and completion of ONS surveys Monitoring mobile phone and utility contracts Submitting CITB levy returns and completing PQQ and supplier account formsSkills and experience that will benefit your application: Experience in bookkeeping and office administration Proficient in accounting software Strong organisational and multitasking skills Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Comfortable working independentl
