This is a high-impact role within a complex, secure environment, where your architectural expertise will support national security priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-level and low-level network designs (HLD/LLD) in line with project milestonesProduce comprehensive artefacts including:Site-specific network architecturesPassive infrastructure layouts (fibre, copper - vertical and horizontal)Active equipment installation designsRack diagrams, patching schedules, and cabling plansCollaborate with multiple stakeholders including:Local IT teamsOther Government Departments (OGDs)System owners and integratorsDrive end-to-end system thinking including:LAN/WAN design and implementationWAN provisioning and circuit dependenciesNetwork security and encryption technologies (e.g., cryptos)Dependencies on EUDs, storage, and power systems (UPS)Work across the full system delivery lifecycle:Service Design, Transition, Acceptance, and into LiveCollaborate with Service Architects on Assurance and Gate ReviewsAnalyse technical requirements and develop fit-for-purpose solutionsConduct impact assessments and risk evaluations of architectural decisionsLead on technical governance, guidance, and assurance activitiesAct as the primary technical PoC for networking and
