The maintenance manager opening exists because the current person is retiring. The business needs a Maintenance Manager who will take ownership and responsibility for the entire mechanical maintenance function and make it their own. As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the full mechanical maintenance function, 21 people across mechanical maintenance, civil works, stores and a small project focused team. Reporting into the Head of Engineering, you will be involved in planning and co-ordinating activity but you will also be visible on site, supporting your team, leading by example and helping solve problems when they arise.
