Senior Civil Design Engineer

Manchester - Hybrid (3 days onsite in a week). Open for Contract and Permanent. Contract: up to £440/day (outside IR35) | Permanent: up to £65,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

Produce design deliverables in line with technical and water company standards.

Identify efficient design solutions through scoping and site visits.

Direct and mentor CAD technicians, graduates, and junior designers.

Prepare design risk assessments, reports, and specifications.

Estimate hours required for design packages and support project planning.

Attend and present designs at ALM, KM, and other project meetings.

Qualifications

10 years'' design experience in the regulated water industry.

Experience with both clean water and wastewater infrastructure/non-infra designs.

Understanding of hydraulics, construction methods, and materials.

Knowledge of engineering drawing practices.
