Supply Desk is seeking a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Aylesbury this September. This full-time position involves providing targeted support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and succeed in the classroom.

About the Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN, within a mainstream classroom environment.
- Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies and contribute to the development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to modify lessons and learning activities as needed.
- Foster positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional well-being through consistent and supportive interactions.
- Encourage pupilsandrsquo; independence and full participation in both academic and social aspects of school life.
- Support the creation and maintenance of an inclusive, engaging, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Maintain regular communication with staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
- Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and contribute actively to the wider school community.
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience supporting children with SEN is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping every child succeed.
- Have a good understanding of inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Be confident in promoting positive behaviour and building strong relationships with pupils.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Show initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community.
- Be open to training in safeguarding, SEN awareness, and first aid.
