SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Daily Rate: £80–£110 (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

A welcoming and specialist school in Bishop’s Stortford is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. The school supports students with autism and complex learning needs, offering a nurturing, EHCP-led environment where multidisciplinary collaboration is at the heart of their approach.
The RoleThis term-time position is ideal for someone who is caring, proactive, and dedicated to supporting individual learning journeys. Whether you’re experienced in SEN or new to the field, you’ll be fully supported by a professional and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and additional needs
Help implement personalised learning activities aligned to EHCPs
Support the social, emotional, and communication development of students
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families
Assist with personal care as needed
Maintain accurate records and contribute to tracking progress
Previous SEN experience is helpful, but not essential
Calm, patient, and nurturing attitude
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn and take part in CPD
Reliable, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
