LAM is a multi-faceted diligence and asset management platform specializing
in the management of loans within Goldman Sachs’ sponsored real estate credit funds.
The candidate’s role will involve managing and overseeing commercial real estate loans.DescriptionOversee and/or directly manage a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate loans within Goldman Sachs’ sponsored real estate credit funds.Communicate effectively with property managers, third-party vendors, borrowers, law firms, and fund Limited Partners regularly.Monitor business plan performance and make strategic recommendations regarding valuation, loan performance, and modifications to senior management as appropriate.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a deep understanding of exposures and risks across the loan portfolio.Lead borrower interactions post-drawdown for all positions.Analyze collateral underlying the positions, including conducting site visits where applicable.Manage all legal workstreams post-drawdown.Review and approve new leasing requests on secured collateral.Prepare and present transaction memos summarizing due diligence and credit analysis for internal approvals throughout the loan lifecycle.Present quarterly updates on business plans, market conditions, and collateral value factors to senior management and clients.Utilize cash flow modeling and market comparables to assess real estate values across various property types such as multifamily, hospitality, retail, industrial, office, self-storage, student housing, and senior living.Prepare and update monthly reporting packages for management and clients.Maintain relationships with borrowers, brokers, lenders, vendors, and industry participants.Assist in communicating loan performance to Limited Partners within respective funds.Collaborate with the liabilities management team to ensure compliance with fund-level financing facilities.Basic QualificationsRelevant degree in Finance, Business, or related field, with an excellent academic and professional record.At least 3 years of experience in originating/underwriting CRE loans or managing assets.Motivated and eager to develop in a challenging role.Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proactive team player with a sense of urgency and responsibility.High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.Ability to work well under pressure, independently and in teams, with a positive attitude.Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
