Classroom Support Assistant (SEN) - Secondary School - St Helens

Long-Term Role | Immediate Start | Up to -100 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient Classroom Support Assistant to work in a forward-thinking secondary school in St Helens, Merseyside.

This is a long-term supply role, starting immediately, supporting pupils within the school''s SEN hub on a 1:1 basis.

The Role - Classroom Support Assistant (SEN)

You will be:

• Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis
• Working within the school''s dedicated SEN provision / hub
• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Assisting with learning activities across the secondary curriculum
• Liaising with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
• Helping students access education in a positive and structured way

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
• Strong classroom management skills
• A confident, calm and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• A positive "can-do" attitude and resilience
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
