Job Purpose
To oversee the accounting function, ensuring financial integrity by supervising staff, preparing and analysing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Main Duties
- Analyse financial statements, prepare reports, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and monitor expenditure.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with current legislation and regulations.
- Review and audit financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Stay informed of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Establish, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, including workload allocation, delegation, and performance oversight.
- Promote efficient workflows and continuous improvement within the finance function.
