Harrington Starr has partnered with a market leading, Tier 1 Financial Services client and is looking for a core Scala Developer to support the development and evolution of a cutting-edge and complex critical distributed systems within their big data mesh ecosystem. You will be working in an international team joining a high-performance agile team. You must have excellent, in-depth core Scala development skills first and foremost (regardless of your industry domain).

Responsibilities

Developing complex distributed Scala-based applications (core Scala)

Data structures and algorithms

SBT build framework

Automated testing using the ScalaTest framework

Developing on AWS cloud

CI/CD on Azure using GitLab repository (preferred, but not a deal breaker)

Nice to have

Experience of another cloud platform i.e. AWS, GCP

Financial Services experience (e.g. IB, Treasury, Finance, Risk)
