Supplier Development Manager

Location:                 Bolton

Salary:                     Up to £50,000

Due to a ramp-up of deliveries, a Supplier Performance Manager is required to bring experience and knowledge to ensure effective Supplier performance, capability & Risk management. The team works across all programmes in the business in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies.

Supplier Development Manager experience required

  • Ideally, a degree-calibre Supply Chain professional with international working experience in Aerospace, Defence, or Manufacturing sectors.

  • Experience/exposure to machining, including capacity and capabilities in the machining environment.

  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers, reporting to the designated project on the performance and managing supply chain risks to closure

  • Capable of carrying out capacity audits which will identify key bottlenecks, yield, resources and sub-tier mapping activities to form an industrial view of supplier

  • Assess supply chain and suppliers’ capability to meet the delivery profile for both current state vs Future State

  • Hold excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within the Supply Chain

  • Identify, escalate and mitigate potential Supply Chain Risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans

  • Assist in supply chain excellence improvements
