Head of Learning
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Learning (Sixth Form) to join a secondary school in Hackney. This is a leadership opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner ready to take on pastoral and academic responsibility across a Sixth Form cohort.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead and manage a Sixth Form year group, driving high standards of achievement and behaviour
Monitor student progress using data and implement targeted interventions
Support tutors and deliver pastoral programmes, including assemblies and enrichment
Promote attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour across the cohort
Work closely with SLT, SEND, and external agencies to support student needs
Lead on parent engagement, including Parents Evenings and communication
Contribute to the wider leadership and operational running of the school
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) essential
Degree and strong subject teaching background
Proven experience of excellent classroom practice
Experience working in an inner-city secondary school (desirable)
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Experience using data to raise attainment
Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
