We''re recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving and values-driven secondary school located in the beautiful coastal town of Chichester. This school is proud of its inclusive Christian ethos and is seeking a dynamic Teacher of Religion andamp; Philosophy to join their thriving Humanities faculty andmdash; with a unique twist: you''ll also take on exciting Chaplaincy responsibilities to support the spiritual life of the school.

The Role:
You''ll teach Religion andamp; Philosophy across Key Stages 3andndash;5 (KS5 experience desirable), delivering inspiring, thought-provoking lessons that ignite student interest and encourage respectful dialogue and deep reflection.
Alongside your teaching, you''ll serve as a part-time School Chaplain (1 day per week) andmdash; helping lead collective worship, mentor staff and students in spiritual matters, and foster a reflective and prayerful school culture.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching:
- Deliver engaging RP lessons across all key stages
- Support students of all abilities, using assessment data to drive rapid progress
- Contribute to pastoral care and wider school life
Chaplaincy:
- Plan and resource weekly tutor worship aligned with Christian themes
- Train and support staff in delivering worship content
- Support seasonal services (Carol, Easter, Whole-School Communion, Leaversandrsquo; Worship, etc.)
- Facilitate student prayer life, maintain the Prayer Room, and engage with local churches
About You:
Youandrsquo;re an inspirational teacher and reflective practitioner with:
- Strong subject knowledge in Religion andamp; Philosophy
- Experience teaching at KS4 (KS5 a bonus!)
- A personal commitment to Christian values and ethos
- The creativity to develop worship that is meaningful and inclusive
- A genuine passion for guiding young people both intellectually and spiritually
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant subject
- QTS (or working towards it)
- Ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- DBS certificate on the update service or willing to obtain
